With Desjardins Group’s help, the regional project “Business succession and digital integration” will promote business development in Outaouais.
The Papineau-Collines, Pontiac and Vallée-de-la-Gatineau SADCs, will work together to help Outaouais rural businesses face two major regional issues: business succession and technology integration into business practices. To do so, the SADC project “Business succession and digital integration” received help from Desjardins Group’s $ 100 million fund, which aims to support projects that generate wealth and value for the region.
Concretely, the SADCs will support 35 businesses from the 5 Outaouais territories in carrying out a succession and transfer project or a digital technology integration project. This help will result in personalized support as well as financial assistance with software acquisition for technology projects. In addition to maintaining economic activities amounting to nearly $ 5 million, creating jobs and generating new investments in the region, these initiatives will ensure the competitiveness and sustainability of our businesses that are essential to the vitality of rural areas.
“The motivation of the three Outaouais SADCs was to create an opportunity to unite our resources and strengths to help rural businesses facing these two common economic issues. By working together regionally, we are able to offer our entrepreneurs complete solutions and generate positive results for the entire territory”, explains Mélissa Bergeron, General Manager of SADC de Papineau-Collines.
Already 20 small businesses have benefited from this partnership, while other projects can still be submitted by January 2020. Entrepreneurs from Collines-de l’Outaouais RCM, Papineau RCM, Pontiac RCM, Vallée-de-Gatineau RCM as well as Masson-Angers and Buckingham, who wish to benefit from this support can contact their SADCs.
